I, the Colossus

Yesterday when my son was taking a nap, I played Shadow Of The Colossus for a hour or so. That game is a pure masterpiece by any standard, and if you own a PS2 and have not played this game yet you’re really missing out on a very unique experience. And if you do not own a PS2 yet, this most certainly is the game that should have you convinced to go a and get one (the consoles are damn cheap at the moment)

Shadow Of The Colossus

But that was not the real point of this post. What I really wanted to tell about is when the line between games and reality sometimes overlap in some very fun ways; when my son woke up from his nap I started played with him on the floor. He is very much into crawling and climbing at the moment even though he’s not very good at any of it, but that is not slowing him down.
At one time I sitting on the couch and he started to climb up my leg and he accidentally pinched my leg which made me bend down and in that instance he grabbed the collar of my sweater and pulled himself up, and in a very few seconds he had climbed from the floor and was now hanging around my neck. Having just played Shadow Of The Colossus I just couldn’t stop smiling at this; my son was playing a real-life version Shadow Of The Colossus.
