A very fine soundtrack

In the past few weeks I’ve been listening a lot to movie and game soundtracks (for no apparent reason) and I’ve come to the conclusion that the best soundtrack ever made might very well be Vangelis‘ soundtrack for Blade Runner.

The last track “Tears in the Rain” with Rutger Hauers magnum opus voice-over of the dilemma faced when he is no longer functioning.

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those … moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

That, my friends, is fucking art.
