This movie had me take my Magnum book down from the bookshelf and look through it again. It really is a masterpiece of a book. If you have ANY interest in movies or photography it is a no-brainer to buy this book.

Watched this Sunday Driver on DVD yesterday. Highly recommended, it is not always that the documentary filmmakers successfully frame the life-style and the community feeling of what they are filming. But Carol Strong does so with ease and gives a superb and very interesting insight in the low-rider culture in Compton, California. And nice to see that Rockstar Games are making other things than just games.
Oh, if any knows who did the music in this trailer please drop me a line.

This graphs show the numbers provided in the postmortem articles from Gamasutra.com and Game Developer Magazine from 1998 to 2006. It clearly shows that videogames are indeed becoming more expensive. At the same time the price of games at retail have remained almost the same.

The last few weeks I’ve seriously been toying with the thought of finally shelling out for a Xbox 360. Yes, yes, I know that I’ve said it many times before, but this time I really mean it. Or meant it, should I say.
Allow me to explain.
Currently there are many really good games out for the Xbox 360 and I’m looking very much forward to playing Crackdown and generally getting my GamerScore way up into the high thousands.
But what is holding me back is that an Xbox 360 is expensive. Very expensive. I have and old TV which I need to replace with a new fancy HD version if I plan on having the full Xbox Experience™. And that is even more expensive. It looks like I’m going to cough up with something around $500 for the Xbox 360 (as they cost here in Denmark) and $1.000 for a HDTV. That’s a lot of monies… much more than I’m comfortable with.
And on the other hand I have my trusty Playstation 2 that have served me well in many many years. It hooks up perfectly for my TV and cheap games are easy to find.
Furthermore, there are some really great games coming for the PS2 in the next few weeks and months. Games like
That’s more games than I could possible have time to play for a very long time, and that is even without buying any new hardware.
At some point I definitely have to get me a next-gen system, but currently I have a hard time convincing myself to shell out the $1.500 needed for it. If I wrong please guide me down the right path.
